Dear potential Children’s Ministry leader,

We are excited that you want to check out the Children’s Ministry at Christian Life Cathedral. This section will help to introduce you to the many opportunities available within our ministry. We want to help you find where you can use your God-given gifts to invest in the lives of children. Your first step to getting involved will be to pick up a Servant-Leader Guidelines Packet at the Information Counter.  Completely fill-out the packet and return it to either myself or Christy.  At that point we can talk to you about what areas you are interested in volunteering.

First, let us ease your mind about a few things:

You don’t have to be an expert.
Each member of our Children’s Ministry team has one thing in common: a passion for children. If you have a heart to love God and a desire to work with children, then you have the two basic ingredients necessary to become a leader in children’s ministry. You do not need a degree in early childhood development or elementary education to be a great leader in Children’s Ministry. We will equip and train you for your ministry.

You do not need all the time in the world.
You can successfully minister to children with a minimal time commitment. We have many ways that you can minister to children in a time frame that will work for you! During the weekend services, in just an hour and a half each week, you will be able to form relationships with children and their parents that will communicate love and value, not only from you, but also from God.

You will not be alone.
You will be supported in your ministry through the Children’s Ministry staff and leadership team. We plan four enrichments a year that are designed to encourage, equip, energize and empower you for ministry. You will not be a lone ranger in your ministry to children…guaranteed!
We look forward to getting to know you and to helping you find where God has shaped you to be. It will be exciting to watch God at work in you and through you as you minister to the children of CLC.
